Izaak’s Blog

I came into this world at 10:17 AM on May 31, 2011. I was about 7 weeks early, weighed in at 3lbs. 15 oz and was 15 inches long. I got to come home with my parents on Father’s Day after 19 days in the NICU unit. I like eating, pooping and sleeping in that order. I retain the right to change that order and to add other things to my like list. I don’t like to be left alone, tickled or kissed repeated on the forehead until my skin chafes. I am also not a big fan of having my diaper changed or my butt wiped. It’s a little embarrasing, degrading and cold.

Anyway, the deal is, I’ll be putting up posts here every once in a while to keep everyone informed about how I’m doing and what I’m doing. This is mainly for you Grandparents who need to know the latest scoop on what I’m doing and my folks are too busy (lazy) to give you a call. It’s also for me to rant and rave and get a few things off my chest.

  1. Don’t worry. If your parents get too slack there are plenty of relatives who will gladly spoil you rotten,

  2. Izaak, Your skin is so soft and you are so sweet and cute you are probably are going to be kissed a lot. Love, MaMa

  3. Izaak, are you and your dad doing creative writing already while mom is at work asleep!!! HA!!! HA!!! I will kiss you the next time I hold you. Nancy

  4. If your parents give you any grief, all you have to do is call one of your grandparents or great grandparents. WE’LL RESCUE YOU!

  5. Poor little guy was very upset when I got home yesterday after having to be stuck with 4 different needles. He wore himself out crying. He was so exhausted from the doctor that after his second feeding of the night, he slept through the third feeding. I have to say this was nice for me, though, since I got to sleep through the third feeding, also.

I do agree with you, Izaak – Daddy should not take you for anymore shots until he mans-up and gets his. Sorry for the bad day, little guy. I hope you have a better day today – so far so good!

  6. My sweet Izaak, I am sorry you had to have those shots. Tell Daddy to be as big a man as you and get his shot. I hope you are feeling better today. Lots of love from Mitchell’s Crossroads!

  7. It is so nice to have this connection with you Izaak. I have not met you yet, but hope to. You have all rights to choose the order you want things done and what you want done. Too bad dad is always busy when you want some attention and maybe a diaper change to let thing air out a little. Hang in there. Uncle Carson will be there for the rescue in the spring; just hold on.
    Love to you fine fellow.
